About us

Rural Agency for Humanitarian Action

Rural Agency for Humanitarian Action (RAHA) is a Somali-led, non-governmental organization founded by a group of dedicated intellectuals committed to addressing the most pressing needs of communities across South-Central Somalia. RAHA was established in response to decades of conflict, recurrent disasters, and the absence of effective governance, which collectively weakened livelihoods and exposed communities to hunger, disease, and chronic vulnerability

Our founders shared a unified vision: to create a trusted, community-centered organization capable of reducing human suffering and supporting long-term recovery. Since its establishment, RAHA has focused on delivering humanitarian assistance while also strengthening resilience, empowering vulnerable populations, and promoting sustainable development.
